00 Welcome Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

Some key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 10.30am for our Sunday Morning Service and at 6.00pm on the first Sunday of the month for our Evening Service.

We meet at:

Jersey Baptist Church
Vauxhall Street
St. Helier

You can see a map on our contact us page.

There is limited on-site parking available, however, there are public car parks within walking distance.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

We have two gatherings on a Sunday, each lasting just over an hour, Our main family service is at 10.30am (ever Sunday) and in the evening at 6 pm (during term time) we host a service called Vauxhall Talks where we explore various theological, ethical and ministry topics.

In our Sunday morning service you can expect prayer, a clear message that explains the Bible, contemporary music and a warm welcome. The service is followed by a chance for the adults to catch up and the children to run around.

On Sunday evenings we host a dynamic teaching session we call Vauxhall Talks. The Vauxhall Talks' format is similar to 'Ted Talks' with each session consisting of a brief talk on a theological, ethical, or ministry topic, followed by small group discussion, and then a chance to quiz the speaker. All Vauxhall Talks sessions also begin and end with prayer!

After all our gatherings there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the kids at church?

At Jersey Baptist we think kids are great and they join us in 'big' church for the first part of the service and then go to their groups in the hall upstairs. We run a full children’s programme for 0-14s and encourage our teens to join the main service. For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for you under church life.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!
You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
